Ok, i'm going to be honest about this review. FLCL is the most random anime/manga ever made. It's very hard to get the main idea (if there is one) and can be interrpreted many many ways. Here is the best i could come up with. I think it's right :-/.
Ok, there's a city called Mabase. The main charecter 12 year old Naota says nothing ever happens there. Everything's normal...well maybe our deffinition of normal is different from his or something cause everything here is just odd. One night Naota went out to search for his older brothers highschool girlfriend who actually comes around to liking Naota a lot. ANYWAYS: Furikrui, FLCL, Fooly Cooly, even the names messed up. Back to the story.
Anyway. His brother's girlfriend Mamimi, well, he finds her. Then a strange robot appears, this tall and tv-headed red robot called Kanchi started fighting this other robot. It's weird...i dont really get it...but...nevertheless..this is a must see anime. Ok...so...anyway. He runs into this mysterious girl. Well, actually she runs into him...on her vespa (like a motercycle) and uh...whacks him in the head with her bass guitar. That evening, Naota returns to his home...and he sees the mysterious girl..her names Haruko. Well it turns out shes gonna be the house maid. This series is almost a story of a boy going through puberty or something and liking girls. That seems to be all that's bugging him really (this is how interrpret it remember). On the last episode of the season or saga..i'm not sure..IT'S SO WEIRD...anyways. Haruko is finally nice to him..and i think he begins to love her a lot. It's weird and gets weirder. You can watch it on adult swim at midnight on mondays through thursdays. That's all for now...remember..this is a must watch anime. I GARUNTEE YOU TO LAUGH! if you like randomness. It's drawn 100% on the computer. But it's got amazing drawings. This really is what anime should be...it's also something you should really watch!
